Austin, Texas - August, 23, 2023 – Artist Dax Martinez-Vargas and producer Jason Richard, have once again joined forces for their 7th single collaboration, "The Dissonance is Loud”, crafting yet another thoughtful and evocative composition. Its complexity and emotional resonance showcase the strengths of their creative partnership, which began during the Covid pandemic in 2020 to complete Dax's LP album ‘Halusanation’.

The single “Darknus” comes to life with Beeple’s surreal and dark animation from his “Manifest Destiny” piece. Both the song and artwork address themes of income inequality, scarcity culture and poverty.

Weed the Musical
In the darkly comedic “Weed the Musical”, we see a sad America where no one is thriving, Americans have strange haircuts, and they work from home via gloves and goggles, doing jobs as futuristic as drone piloting to as normal as hair cutting to as scandalous as sex working, though that’s portrayed in a PG-13 comedic sort of way. The series concept was created by Dax Martinez-Vargas, Scott Herriott and Jon Stringer in 2016. Though Dax and Scott shot some of it in 2016, they would have to put it on ice, until the pandemic hit in March 2020.

Different dimensions of rock music work together to tell a story of the human struggle against tyranny of external and internal forces as it explores themes of resistance, healing, enlightenment, revolt and serenity in 16 tracks.
